With the store being 500sqm in size it means that they can pack in a wide range of sporting goods which includes a huge range of fishing gear and firearms at the rear of the shop and sporting goods, water sports, fitness, apparel and footwear at the front of the shop.

The apparel department in particular is packed with exciting clothing and swimwear. This includes some more exclusive lines of clothing that Wilkinsons Sports have secured over the years;Rohnish, a Swedish brand that designs clothes exclusively for women, European brand pure Lime is another women’s wear range, plus Ocean & Earth and Honey surf and beachwear ranges. An extensive range of swimwear catering from beach to pool, kids and adults in all shapes and sizes (up to a size 22 for ladies).

About Us

Mark and Donna Newman have been the new owners of Wilkinsons Sports since October 06 and bring with them significant experience in the sporting goods industry.

Mark has an extensive fishing back ground from ten years working for a sporting goods importer who distributed Shimano fishing tackle for New Zealand. The same organisation also imported other products like Kookaburra cricket products to Miroku shotguns. Donna has a background employed by another sporting goods wholesaler of which offered products like Speedo swim wear, Mitre netballs to name a few.

Therefore, Mark and Donna would like to think that they can pass on their knowledge and experience to their customers at Wilkinsons Sports and provide the best customer service they can.

Interestingly enough Mark and Donna are only the 3rd owners of Wilkinsons Sports name and the name has been around for over 100 years.
