FISHING REPORT

Hi there, welcome to our local Northland fishing report.

Harbour:  There has been some very good fishing here with many reports of Kingfish around 9-15kg being caught on poppers off the Marsden Point wharf.  Snapper are still being caught around the harbour mouth and around the Frenchman, good size panfish 30-45cm - great for a feed.

ROCKS: Fishing reports have been very good with plenty of nice size Snapper( 5-15lb )being taken off the rocks around the Tutukaka coast. Big berley is a must this time of the year, the hard part is putting up with the Kahawai, but they are not bad for livebait for Kingfish.

BOAT:  Reports that the fishing down Bream Bay has been good when you find the baitfish, plenty of reports of Snapper over 10lb being caught, softbaits are working very well.
